Let's break down the question. The key term in the thesis question is citizenship. We defined as the ability of women to exercise full democratic rights, equal to men, in the economy, family and society. We look how women have progressed from 1700 when they helped their husbands with farming and taking care their children to being involved with movements by receiving the right to own land, have custody of their own children after a divorce, labor, voting, and civil rights. We also look at the terms of women's actions, how do their actions affect the idea of democracy for women and the American society. How do women's actions aid the evolution of women's citizenship?
